ALEPPO
Because of its distinctive location between east and west, a major station on the ancient silk road, Aleppo played always a great role during its extensive history for more than three millennium, designed by the Greeks Salukis in the fourth centaury B.C., flourished during the Umayyad era and specially during the Hamadaneans under the reign of Seif Adawla

ST SIMON

Built by Roman Emperor Xenon 15th century ago in tribute to Saint Simon who lived 40 years on a pillar preaching his students. it stands as a fine example of the beauty of Syrian architecture which was imitated in Europe three centuries later

QALB LOZEH

meaning 'Heart of the Almond', situated 65 km west of Aleppo, This basilica is one of the most beautiful basilicas in Syria, dating back to the 5th century. It is not sure to whom was dedicated, used afterwards as a stopping station for pilgrims to St. Simeon's church like the nearby church of Mshabak. The beautiful architecture used in this church shows an ability to use classical Greek decoration

 
SERJILLA
Located 7 km from Al Bara, where one could find the remains of a complete Byzantine settlement including houses, baths, tombs and a church. shows how prosperous this region had been. This region was rich in vine and it was a center for its cultivation and the production of wine. The floor of these baths dates back to 473, and are some of the most preserved in Syria. The church at Serjilla dates back to 372, although begun a little earlier and is considered one of the oldest in the region
 
EBLA

Became the most important political and cultural centre in Syria during the third millennium B.C., after its destruction, it was rebuilt again and regained its power at the beginning of the second millennium B.C., there are thousands of cuneiform tablets besides the temples, palaces and fine sculptures which are living evidences of its great civilization

 
AIN DARA

Situated 60 km to the north west from Aleppo, the monuments reveal an  imposing temple unique in its style in the whole middle east dates back to the first millennium B.C.

 
 
AL BARA

Built in the 4th century as a center for the production of olive oil and wine. It expanded in the 5th and 6th centuries to become one of the largest of the Byzantine cities in the area. The building style at Al Bara gives an idea of the prosperity it enjoyed, the main vestige 5 churches, The pyramidal roofed tombs, The Fort of Abu Sufian
